What moves on this corridor

The flow

These assets continue to trade; what has moved is the standard of evidence correspondent banks and regulators apply, here as elsewhere. Compliance precedes transaction work: ownership, source of funds and of wealth, and the payment route are settled before we accept a mandate. Where sanctions prohibit, we do not act.

Where transactions need work

What a deal turns on here

Screening before valuation

We begin with ownership chains, beneficial owners and the route the consideration will take. Valuation follows.

Banking the transaction

Correspondent relationships, as much as legal opinions, decide whether consideration moves. The payment route is raised at term sheet, not at completion.

Documentation that survives review

Representations do not displace the ownership and control tests; both are re-read years later by regulators and auditors.
